ROAR! It’s been awhile! ASSESSMENT IS OVER!!

This is for a school project, which is also a competition. My interpretation of Merlion.

The lion’s mane is drawn out of waves because “Mer” actually stands for sea in Javanese, as Singapore was once a fishing(sea) village, which explains the boat there.

Love hate relationship. Love the ideas from people in the advertising industry all around the world, hate that I can’t come up with any ideas good enough and my lecturer is prolly gna puke blood. ME SO TIRED MY GOSH.

Just so you know, I’m not gonna major in Advertising unless I want to lie on my deathbed now.

Sorry for not updating. Busy + tired = dead. I have submissions every day last week and my final submission week is coming and so is assessment, so I’m pretty stress up now.

This photo was part of my advertising project, which I have yet to refine. Its a teaser video and I suppose to have a tagline but I didn’t add in cos I really really suck at copywriting. :/ And I told that to my lecturer… that I suck at it.

This photo shoot was really tiring tho it looks like nothing. I was lying down on sand at a zashdajkshdjka friggin hot temperature with insects crawling around everywhere. No intention to reshoot at all. LOL.

I did something to the photo, not the words, I hope it is not obvious haha.

Busy with school, assignments, work, drawing, designing, brainstorming. Busy from weekdays to weekends, from day to night.

My brain cells are depleting at an alarming rate.

I hope I produce work good enough to get head hunted when I graduate in less than 2 years time. But seriously, it is not easy, school is tough and competitive. I’ve been trying and working really hard. I don’t rmb working my ass off when I was in Poly. Hmm.

Anw, when I have time and energy, I’ll update with works. I can barely keep my eyes open now. Stay with me till then!

Ok, so this was a project I was doing for my advertising class, advertising a certain uni pen that has fine tip. So I’m tryna use hair to show how fine it can be.

It started off as a very simple (as seen from this drawing) drawing of hair, fine, but not very very fine kind, but I thought it would work. But apparently my lecturer thought it wasn’t fine enough and its too quiet.

So what started off as a very simple “hair” idea, developed into a very very tedious, strand by strand work. WHICH, hah, I name this series of illustrations, Strand by Strand.

I’m very glad that many people like the Haruki Murakami illustrated book I did as a personal project and also to be a part of my portfolio. I spent a lot of time and effort doing it, and I’m proud of it, so I appreciate it guys. :’)

I hope I’m beginning to start out somewhere already…
